This residential course is intended for NGO workers and activists who experience stress and trauma in their lives/work and who may support trauma survivors in their work and communities.

The five day course uses an experiential methodology – meaning primarily drawing wisdom from participants’ personal experiences instead of lectures/theory – to explore trauma, it’s impacts on our minds and bodies, and ways to begin healing processes from trauma. The framework is a holistic understanding of wellbeing within the social/political/cultural contexts we live and work.  There will be a strong focus on the skills and practice of deep listening as both a healing and empowerment process.

The daily schedule will include yoga and mindfulness practices for grounding and as a basis to develop/support a personal wellbeing practice.

Ouyporn and Ginger co-founded IWP 20 years ago and run courses focused on integrating feminist practice, mindfulness, and activism.

Course fees include all food and accommodation at our center in Mae Rim. Please contact us at okhuankaew@gmail.com or gingernorwood@gmail.com for more information and to register.
